Mahalakshmi (Nadhiya)is a businesswoman who lives with her husband Ramalingam (V.K. Naresh), an advocate, and Anasuya (Samantha Ruth Prabhu), a twenty-three years old pretty marriageable girl.
Mangamma (Hari Teja) is the Domestic help and personal assistant of Anasuya, whereas Gopal (Srinivasa Reddy) is the sycophantic Personal Secretary of Mahalakshmi.
Anasuya feels like a prisoner in her house because of her mother's dominating and strict nature of her mother. No one in the house dares to go against her. On the other hand, Ramalingam (V.K. Naresh) always pampers his daughter and helps her without letting his wife know.
Mahalakshmi wants Anasuaya to get married to Shekhar (Srinivas Avasarala), the grandson of Banerjee (Giri Babu), a business tycoon. However, Anasuya gets frustrated with the monotonous and dominated life and hardly survives a suicide attempt by cutting her veins with a knife.
Shekhar is coming to see Anasuya, and Mahalakshmi has to go outside the city on a business tour. Anasuya and her father plan to stop Shekhar and his grandfather with the marriage proposal in the absence of Mahalakshmi.
Ramalingam asks his daughter to go to his relative Kameshwari (Easwari Rao), who lives in Kalavapudi village near Vijayawada, at a distance of a five-hour drive from Hyderabad. Kameshwari has a grown-up son Anand (Nithiin), and a daughter Bhanumathi (Ananya).
Earlier, Krishnamoorthy (Jayaprakash), husband of Kameshwari, treats Mahalakshmi (Nadhiya) as his sister. Mahalakshmi seeks the help of Krishnamoorthy to establish a business. Krishnamoorthy gives his property papers to procure a bank loan by mortgaging the property.
Mahalakshmi promises to return the money or property papers in two years. However, after 3-4 years, when Mahalakshmi goes to return the money, she finds Jayaprakash dead. Kameshwari refuses the money and slams the house doors for Mahalakshmi. It hurts the ego of Mahalakshmi, and she breaks up all relationships with Kameshwari, her son Anand (Nithiin), and daughter Bhanumathi (Ananya).
Anasuaya starts a train journey to the Kalavapudi village with his domestic help Mangamma (Hari Teja), and Anand accompanies her on the train. Anasuya experiences an entirely new experience of life in the townlet. She feels happy in the alliance with Anand and his family.
Anand has taken a considerable amount of loan from village leader Pallam Venkanna (Rao Ramesh), who has a grown-up son Pallam Venkanna (Ajay), and a marriageable pampered daughter Nagavalli (Anupama Parameswaran).
Anasuya learns that Nagavalli loves Anand, and Pallam Venkanna tries hard for Anand to marry his daughter. Though Anand is not interested in Nagavalli, he can not turn down the proposal from his father, Pallam Venkanna, from whom he has taken a loan. However, he keeps postponing the marriage proposal on the pretext of the marriage of his sister Bhanumati first.
The situation takes a U-Turn when Mahalakshmi learns about Anand and his family, forces Anasuya to marry Shekhar (Srinivas Avasarala), and fixes her engagement. On the other hand, Anand still remembers his father's death due to Mahalakshmi.
What happens next is the rest of the story of A Aa.
