Anand  (1971) is a Drama Bollywood Hindi Movie released on 12 March, 1971 and directed by the Ace Director Hrishikesh Mukherjee. The movie was third highest grosser of 1971 and earned Rs. 1.7 Cr worldwide Box Office Collection. Anand is considered among the 17 consecutive Hit Film of Rajesh Khanna between 1969 to 1971 and is the highest Rated (8.8/10) Movie on IMDB. The angry young man Amitabh Bachchan played a supporting role in the movie and Anand is considered his first hit movie. This is the first movie of two greatest actors Amitabh Bachhan and Rajesh Khanna out of two movies they did together. The second movie is Namak Haram (1973).                 

Movie Plot: The movie roams around Anand (Rajesh Khanna) who has a rare type  of cancer in his intestine  and which leads  him towards a certain death within six months. Despite knowing the fact Anand lives a life lively and in a cheerful manner. He befriends with everyone and help every needy person. He was introduced to Dr. Bhaskar Banerjee (Amitatbh Bachchan) who treats needy people without any charge and sometimes frustrated with himself for not able to cure all kind of illness.  Soon Anand and Dr. Bhasker become very good friends. But would Dr. Bhasker be able to cure Anand is the rest of story.
