The lead actors Rajendra Kumar and Saira Banu nominated for the Filmfare Awards in the category of Best Actor and Actress, respectively. Dharmendra was also nominated for Filmfare Award in the category of Best Supporting Actor. Dharmendra played a negative shed in the movie played as a main Villain which eventually became his first and last movie as a Villain.

Ayee Milan Ki Bela (1964) Movie Plot: Ranjeet (Dharmendra) returns Indian and meets his fraternal twin Brother Shyam (Rajendra Kumar). Being fraternal twins they both have many things in common and they even share the same date of birth. Eventually they both fall for same girl named (Barkha) Saira Banu. However, Barkha reciprocates positively to Shyam. This causes chafing between the two brothers. Things become worse when Shyam is accused of stealing money and impregnating a village girl Roopa (Shashikala).
