Battery is a Tamil-language Crime Thriller released on 29 July 2022, later dubbed into Hindi. The film is based on the subject of medical corruption.

Pugazh (Senguttuvan) joins the police department and is posted as a Sub Inspector at a Chennai police station. At the same time, a burnt corpse is found in Chennai, and the police start an investigation.
Pugazah is new to the office but starts investigating the matter like a pro. The higher official Rathnam (Yog Japee) does not appreciate the act of his subordinate. However, the brilliance in handling the case soon leads to a suspect, and Rathnam has to admire the work of Pugazah.
The police beat the suspect brutely while questioning him. Pugzah realizes that the accused is a heart patient with a pacemaker and saves him.
A young girl Asha (Ammu Abhirami), bails out the suspect in court. Asha is searching for another lady with a pacemaker. Ammu and Pugazah meet and soon form a deep bonding within them.
ACP Victor (Raj Deepak Shetty) resumes his duties after being in a coma and takes charge of the investigation. However, someone kills Inspector Rathnam (Yog Japee).
