Capsule Gill is an upcoming Hindi (Bollywood) Biographical film expected to be released on 30 November 2023. However, the makers have not announced any release date.

Cast & Crew

Tinu Suresh Desai is the director of Capsule Gill. He is best known for the 2016 Horror film 1920: London starring Sharman Joshi and Meera Chopra.

Jackky Bhagnani and Vashu Bhagnani are the Producers of Capsule Gill under Pooja Entertainment. Ajay Kapoor is the Co-Producer of Capsule Gill.

Cast

Akshay Kumar portrays Jaswant Singh Gill, a Mining Engineer. Parineeti Chopra plays the female lead role, which marks her second pair-up with Akshay Kumar after Kesari (2019).

Ravi Kishan, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Ananth Mahadevan, Varun Badola, and Rajesh Sharma are also there in the film to play pivotal roles.

Movie Plot

Jaswant Singh Gill was an Amritsar-based Chief Mining Engineer. In 1989, While working in Raniganj, West Bengal, he found a life threat for 65 miners. The miners were trapped inside a flooded coal mine.

Jaswant Singh saved the life of those 65 miners with his Capsule technique. That is why the film is called Capsule Gill.

He was awarded the “Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak” by the President of India, Ramaswamy Venkataraman, in November 1991.

After an illustrious career spanning over 33 years, Jaswant Singh Gill retired as the Executive Director (Safety and rescue) from Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) Dhanbad in 1998.

Production

Shooting for the film commenced in July 2022 in the United Kingdom.
