Movie Plot
The story unfolds in the village of Duggada near Narsipatnam town, a region known for its invaluable reserves of precious and semi-precious gemstones like alexandrite, chrysoberyl, chrysoberyl cat's eye, aquamarine, and ruby.
On rainy days, something unique happens. The villagers rush outdoors and start searching frantically for gemstones on the hill.
Bangarraju, the only mechanic in the village, is known for his arrogance and has made many enemies who seek revenge, including Somu Naidu (Raj Tirandasu).
A deadly twist in the story
One rainy afternoon, Bangarraju discovers a valuable gemstone in the red mud. Simultaneously, another villager, Somu Naidu, also spots the same stone.
Both of them get into a quarrel, and Bangarraju warns Somu Naidu that he will harm him for not letting him take that gemstone.
Things take a dramatic turn when someone kills Somu Naidu, and the police arrest Bangarraju (Karthik Rathnam). However, he manages to flee from the police.
A parallel story
The film begins with a Lazy Dog named Veera Bobbili living with a family. One night, when thieves attempt to rob the house, Veera Bobbili refrains from barking out of fear that they might harm him.
The following day, the disappointed owner gives Veera Bobbili away to his brother-in-law, who abandons the dog due to its excessive eating habits.
Bangarraju embarks on a journey to find the killer of Somu Naidu. What happens next? Where is the dog, Veera Bobbili? Does he play any significant role in shaping the story? What happens to the revenge seekers? How do Tatarao (Satya) and Gateelu (Ravi Babu) get connected in the narration? The film Changure Bangaru Raja gives replies to all such queries.
