Chup is a Hindi (Bollywood) Thriller film released on on 23 September 2022. However, a special public viewing (FREE) of Chup was held on September 20, across 10 cities of the country.

R. Balki is the director of Chup. His last directorial was Padman (2018), which got success at the box office and got good reviews from the critics.

Gauri Shinde, Jayantilal Gada, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, and Anil Naidu have produced Chup. Pranab Kapadia and Anirudh Sharma have co-produced the film Chup.

R. Balki has also written the story of Chup, whereas Raja Sen and Rishi Virmani have co-written the Screenplay and the Dialogues.

Amit Trivedi, S.D. Burman, Sneha Khanwalkar, and Aman Pant are the Music Directors, and Swanand Kirkire is the Lyricist of Chup.

Vishal Sinha is the Director of Photography, and Nayan HK Bhadra is the Film Editor.

Cast

Sunny Deol, Dulquer Salmaan, Shreya Dhanwanthary, and Pooja Bhatt have played pivotal roles in Chup. Amitabh Bachchan appears in a cameo. He became a first time composer in Chup.

Sunny Deol and Pooja Bhatt have worked together after a long gap of around 27 years. They last worked together in Angrakshak in 1995. Sunny Deol and Pooja Bhatt were also a  part of the film Border (1997) but did not have scenes concurrently.

Movie Plot

Danny (Dulquer Salmaan) is a florist who is in love with Neela Menon (Shreya Dhanwanthary). Neela is a journalist and wants to be a film reviewer. She does not like fake reviews and reviewers.

A psycho killer starts brutal murders of Film Critics in a unique style. The murder style resembles the last review of the deceased.

Arvind Mathur (Sunny Deol) from Crime Branch takes over the charge but seems helpless in finding the killer. Neela also helps him to find the killer.

Arvind Mathur seeks the help of Zenobia (Pooja Bhatt), a criminal psychologist. Arvind Mathur, Zenobia, and Neela team up and go after the killer.
