Movie Plot
The film Ek Betuke Aadmi Ki Afrah Raatein is set in 2013. It narrates the story of Muzaffarnagar and Lucknow in northern India.
The film connects three different stories to observe the lives and times of its four dispossessed characters when communal forces are on the rise. It talks of love, lust, guilt, and redemption.
Gulmohar and Gomti
While sleeping on the road in Lucknow, Gulmohar witnesses Gomti. He goes after her and initiates communication.
From the communication, we learn Gulmohar is a resident of Muzaffar Nagar and works in a photo studio.
The connection between Gulmoahar, Anita, and Kamal
Gulmohar meets Anita, who returns from a brothel and lives in Muzaffar Nagar with her child.
Anita and Gulmohar soon enter into an intimate relationship. However, Anita wants to be settled in life by marrying Ajay.
After a few days, Anita's son comes to Gulmohar. The next day, Gulmohar visits Anita's house. However, surprisingly, he finds Anita lying dead.
Gomti and her father
After the demise of her stepsister, who adopted her, Gomti takes care of her father. Gomti's father has strange dreams about Gomti.
After some time, Gomti and her father visit an Ashram for spiritual healing. Gomti meets Kamal and falls in love with her. The Kamal is the same person with whom Anita wanted to be married.
The film Ek Betuke Aadmi Ki Afrah Raatein narrates the rest of the story and tells us the connection between Gulmohar, Kamal, and Gomti.
