Hit: The First Case is a Telugu language Action Thriller film released on 28 February 2020. A Hindi dubbed version with the same-titled was uploaded on YouTube by Goldmines on 11 November 2022.

Remake and Sequel

A Hindi remake with the same name was released on 15 July 2022, starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra in lead roles.

Hit: The First Case (2020) is followed by a standalone sequel titled HIT: The Second Case (2022).

Sailesh Kolanu helmed Hit: The First Case (2020) as a debutant directed. He directed the Hindi remake with the same title. Sailesh also directed the sequel to  Hit: The Second Case (2022). He is also the writer of all three films.

The tentative budget of Hit: The First Case (2020) was 6 Crore INR. The film did a good business of approximately 18 Crore INR at the Box Office.

Movie Plot

Vikram Rudraraju (Vishwak Sen) is a Police Officer and works in the Homicide Intervention Team (HIT). He has exceptional capabilities to capture even the miner detail at the crime scenes and earns the trust of his senior Viswanath (Bhanu Chander).

Vikram loves Neha (Ruhani Sharma), who works in the HIT unit. Rohit (Chaitanya Sagiraju) also works in HIT and is a good friend of Vikram and Neha, and is very close to Vikram.

A Parallel story

A young girl Preethi (Sahiti Avanchi), leaves home in her car and forgest her phone at home. Preethi's car stops abruptly due to some malfunction on a highway.

In the meantime, police officer Ibrahim (Murali Sharma) passes by and stops to see the alone girl on the highway. He provides his phone to Preethi to contact her parents. After calling her father, Preethi asks Ibrahim to go, as her father is coming to pick her up.

Ibrahim, while returning, witnesses Preethi entering a Blue car. Assuming the blue car belongs to Preethi's father, Ibrahim does not cross-check the scene. However, Preethi goes missing.

Officer Viswanath (Bhanu Chander) is a good friend of Preethi's father. He suspends Ibrahim (Ibrahim) after knowing the entire issue and that Ibrahim misbehaved with the parents of Preethi.

Back to the story of Vikram

Vikram is suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and the doctor advises him to leave the stressful job of the police. However, Vikram is not ready to quit the job.

While Neha (Ruhani Sharma) tries to convey the seriousness of PTSD to Vikram, he involves in a verbal fight with Neha. However, Vikram finally agrees to take six months break from the job and goes to a remote area.

After two months, Vikram gathers that Neha is missing. He immediately resumes his duties and requests Viswanath to take over the case of Neha. However, Viswanath thinks that Vikram is not the right person to handle the case being emotionally involved with the missing person.

Abhilash (Maganti Srinath), who is always jealous of Vikram, takes over the case of Neha. When Abhilash gathers that Vikram had a fight with Neha, he finds Vikram the prime suspect in the missing case of Neha.

Vikram secretly starts a parallel investigation with the help of Rohit (Chaitanya Sagiraju). He gathers information about the cases recently handled by Neha, and then only he comes across the missing case of Preethi (Sahiti Avanchi).

Vikram requests officer Viswanath to permit him to handle the missing case of Preethi and starts a fresh investigation into Preethi's case.

Vikram has a strong feeling that Preethi's missing case and Neha's missing case are connected. He meets suspended police officer Ibrahim (Murali Sharma) and takes his help to find the culprit behind these missing cases.

The rest of the film revolves around the investigation of Vikram with Rohit and suspended officer Ibrahim. Who is the culprit? Are these two cases connected or not? Are Preethi and Neha alive or not? Hit: The First Case replies to all these queries in a realistic manner with lots of twists and turns.
