Hukumat Ki Jung is a Hindi dubbed version of the Telugu language, Action film Chatrapathi, released theatrically on 29 September 2005.
The film was dubbed and released in Tamil as Chandramouli (2013), Malayalam as Chatrapathi (2011), and in Hindi as Hukumat Ki Jung (2009).
The film was remade in Bengali as Refugee (2006) and in Kannada with the same name in 2013. A Hindi remake with the same title (Chatrapathi) began its production in 2021 and was released on 12 May 2023.
Prabhas plays the lead role, whereas Shriya Saran plays the female lead role. Shafi, Pradeep Rawat, and Bhanupriya play pivotal roles in Hukumat Ki Jung, the Hindi dubbed version of the Telugu film Chatrapathi.
Ajay, Kamal Kamarjau, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Narendra Jha, Supreeth, Venu Madhav, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Surya, L. B. Sriram, Jeeva, Stunt Silva, Sekhar, Y. Vijaya, S.S. Kanchi, Anita Chowdary, Joy Badlani, Karate Kalyani, and Raghava play supporting roles.
Mumaith Khan and Aarthi Agarwal make special appearances in the song Mannela Tintivira and Summa Masuriyaaa, respectively.
The tentative budget of the Telugu film Chatrapathi was 12.5 Crore INR. The film did well commercially and earned approximately 22 Crore INR at the Worldwide Box Office.
After a calamity, young Sivaji (Manoj Nandam) loses his parents. Parvati (Bhanupriya) adopts him as her son and nurtures him with equal affection as her biological son Ashok (Master Teja Sajja). However, Ashok feels jealous of Sivaji from the day his mother adopts Sivaji.
Parvati lives on the coast of Sri Lanka. One day a fire accident occurs on the sea coast. Ashok lies to his mother about the death of Sivaji and leaves the place with his mother.
Sivaji goes overboard and lands in Vizag. He starts an endless journey to find his mother, Paravati. On the other hand, Paravati never forgets Sivaji and arranges special rituals on the birthday of Sivaji.
Grown-up Sivaji (Prabhas) works at Vizag port, dominated by Baji Rao (Narendra Jha), who uses refugee labour for his gain with an iron fist. Baji Rao is the younger son of a dreaded criminal, Ras Bihari (Pradeep Rawat), who operates from another Indian state.
Sivaji raises his voice against Baji Rao and kills Katraju (Supreeth), the right-hand man of Baji Rao. People now start referring to Sivaji as Chatrapathi.
Sivaji seeks protection from a local leader Appala Nayudu (Kota Srinivasa Rao), against Baji Rao. However, Appala Nayudu refuses to help Sivaji.
On the other hand, Baji Rao comes with his goons and starts killing Sivaji's closet people. Sivaji fights with the goons and finally kills Baji Rao. After killing Baji Rao, Sivaji becomes the undisputed don of Vizag. Neelu (Shriya Saran) is the love interest of Sivaji.
Ras Bihari (Pradeep Rawat) learns about the killing of his brother Baji Rao and visits Vizag to kill Ras Bihari. However, he fails to harm Sivaji. On a parallel track, Ashok (Shafi) learns about Sivaji and plans to dethrone him.
Sivaji learns that Ashok is his brother and wants to meet his mother. However, Ashok presents a wrong image of Sivaji before his mother and compels Sivaji to keep his distance from his mother. Moreover, Ashok joins hands with Ras Bihari and asks him to kill Sivaji.
Sivaji secretly helps Ashok make a good business to enable his mother to live a better life. However, Ashok makes a heinous plan to kill Sivaji with the help of Ras Bihari.
What happens next is the rest of the story of Hukumat Ki Jung, the Hindi dubbed version of the Telugu film Chatrapathi.
