Inspector Vijay is a  Hindi dubbed version of the 2018 Telugu film Kavacham [meaning: Armour]. Kavacham was released on 7 December 2018. RKD Studios premiered the Hindi dubbed version (Inspector Vijay) on its YouTube Channel on 28 April 2019.

Cast

Budget and Box Office Collection

The tentative budget of Kavacham was Rs. 8 Crore. The film earned approximately 5 Crore INR and proved a Box Office failure.

However, the Hindi dubbed version (Inspector Vijay) received an extremely positive response from the viewers. The video received 300+ Million views on Youtube, and the film became one of the Most Viewed Hindi Dubbed South Indian Movies on YouTube.

Movie Plot

Inspector Vijay (Bellamkonda Sreenivas) is a young, honest, and upright officer. He is unmarried and lives happily with his mother (Kalyani Natarajan).

Once Vijay saw a beautiful waitress Samyukta (Kajal Aggarwal). Vijay immediately falls for her but later gathers that she is already engaged.

One day Vijay saves a girl, Lavanya (Mehreen Pirzada), from goons and finds out she is going to elope with her boyfriend. He drops her at the rendezvous and, while waiting for her boyfriend, starts telling her about Samyukta (Kajal Aggarwal).

When Lavanya's boyfriend does not turn up, Vijay takes her to his house. In the meantime, Vijay gathers that the Boyfriend of Lavanya is cheated on her.

The next day when Vijay goes to drop Lavanya at a Bus Stop, he witnesses a car hit his mother. At the hospital, the doctor asks for Rs. 50 Lakh for the operation, but Vijay does not have the requisite amount. He pleads before the doctor, but the doctor refuses to operate with Rs. 50 Lakh.

Now Lavanya reveals that she is the niece of a billionaire Mahendra Verma (Mukesh Rishi). She asks Vijay to call her uncle and demand 50 Lakh for the fake kidnapping of her.

Vijay seems reluctant to the proposal. Lavanya assures Vijay that there would be no problem because her uncle loves her so much that he would the desired amount without hesitation.

Vijay reluctantly agrees to the proposal of Lavanya. He makes a ransom call to Mahendra Verma (Mukesh Rishi), who immediately agrees to pay the amount, and requests to keep his niece safe.

However, Vikramaditya Varma (Neil Nitin Mukesh), son of Mahendra Verma, informs the police. But Vijay smartly takes the ransom money without being caught by the police and deposits the money in the hospital.

The next day, assuming everything is fine, Vijay visits the Cafe where Samyukta (Kajal Aggarwal) used to work as a waitress. Vijay sees the news on television that the niece of Mahendra Verma (Mukesh Rishi) is kidnapped, and the Kidnapper has not left her even though after getting the desired Ransome amount of R. 50 Lakh.

The television news also flashes a profile picture of Samyukta Verma, the niece of Mahendra Verma. However, Vijay gets shocked to see that it is the picture of Kajal Aggarwal and not Lavanya (Mehreen Pirzada). The Tv news also flashes the photograph of Inspector Vijay as the Kidnapper.

Vijay gets suspended, and an arrest warrant is issued against him. However, Vijay decides to investigate the matter on his own. A police officer (Satyam Rajesh) helps Vijay.

Vijay starts an unofficial investigation and soon gathers that a girl's dead body is found at the seashore. Vijay reaches there to see the body. Mahendra Verma and his family, with the police team, are already there.
