James (2022) [Film] Synopsis
James is an India Kannada-language Action Thriller film released on 17 March 2022, along with the dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. 17 March was the birthday of the late Puneeth Rajkumar.
James is the last movie of late actor Puneeth Rajkumar. The film was released posthumously after the death of Puneeth Rajkumar on 29 October 2021.
The Hindi dubbed version has also been streaming on the OTT platform Sony Liv from 12 April 2022.

Budget and Box Office
The tentative budget of James is Rs. 60 Crore. The film earned more than Rs. 150 Crore and has become the second Highest Grossing Kannad film after KGF Chapter 1.
James received a grand success at the Box Office. The film earned Rs. 32 Crore and broke the record of the highest opening day collection of KGF Chapter 1 (2018). By earning Rs. 32 Crore on an opening day, James became the first Kannada film to achieve the milestone.
James received gross Rs. 100 Crore within 4four (4) days of its release, and achieved the record of highest single day footfalls for any movie in 88 years of history of Kannada Film Industry.
Movie Plot
Two rivalry Crime Syndicates are running in Bangalore, India. One group is Golden Horse, led by Joseph Anthony (Sarath Kumar), who operates from Europe. The other group, namely Gayakwad Syndicate, is led by Vijay Gayakwad (Meka Srikanth).
Some unknown attackers kill Jayadev Gayakwad (Madhusudhan Rao), the father of Vijay, who realizes that his family is also in danger.
Vijay hires the services of a security agency and hires Santhosh (Puneeth Rajkumar) as his bodyguard. Santhosh saves Vijay's family from all sorts of dangers. He also helps Vijay in his business dealings.
In the meantime, Vijay's sister Nisha Gayakwad (Priya Anand) returns to India after completing her medical studies in Singapore. Vijay requests Santhosh to protect his sister too.
Nisha soon faces an attack and has to escape with Santhosh to a nearby village, and they spend some time together. After safely returning home, Nisha tells his brother that she loves Santhosh and wants to marry him. After initial reluctance, Vijay approves their collaboration.
Vijay hosts a grand party where he announces to hand over his business to his sister Nisha. Vijay also announces the life collaboration of Santhosh and Nisha. However, Joseph's goons enter the party and recognize Santhosh as James.
Who is Santhosh? What is his real name? Is he playing some game with Vijay and Nisha? How does Antony Joseph (Sarath Kumar) know Santhosh/James? The rest of the film satisfactorily replies to all these queries.
