Kohra - Hindi Film 1993

Kohra is an Indian Hindi-language ( Suspense and Thriller ) film released in cinemas on 08 October 1993.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) issued a (UA) rating to the Hindi-language film Kohra, vide certificate No. 1120 on 22 September 1993 . The runtime of the film is 124 Minutes and 00 Seconds.

Movie Plot

Anand (Arman Kohli) is a college-going student. He lives with his uncle Inspector General of Police (IGP) Suryakant Sharma (Kiran Kumar).

Nisha (Ayesha Jhulka) is the daughter of Customs Officer Kailashnath Rathod (Pran). She studies in the same college as Anand.

Anand and Nisha fall in love. When Kailashnath learns about their love, he talks to IGP Suryakant (Kiran Kumar), who is also ready for the marriage, but after Anand becomes a police officer. Soon Anand goes for his police training.

A parallel story

IGP Suryakant is looking for three smugglers, Sir John, Tinnu, and Peter Gonzales. No one knows Sir John or Peter Gonzales. However, Tinnu (Gulshan Grover) is the leader of a rival gang, who often loots diamonds belonging to Sir John.

A CBI officer Neelkanth Sahay (Tinnu Anand), informs IGP Suryakant that a man, Jakarto, is bringing smuggling diamonds of 50 Crore on Flight No. 111 from America.

Deepak Kaushal (Deepak Saraf) is a childhood friend of Nisha (Ayesha Jhulka) and is returning to India after becoming a doctor on flight No. 111 from America.

Jakarto (Sadashiv Amrapurkar) reaches the airport with a doll having smuggled diamonds of 50 Crore. Jakarto requests Deepak (Deepak Saraf) to take care of the doll as he is limping with a crutch.

Deepak comes out from customs without any difficulty, whereas police arrest Jakarto. Nisha meets Deepak at the airport and finds a doll with him. Deepak gives the doll to Nisha, who drops him to his destination.

Twist in the story

When the police release Jakarto, one of Sir John's goons receives him. However, Tinnu (Gulshan Grover) and his goons, including Pradeep Singh (Pradeep Singh Rawat), abduct Jakarto and ask for the doll.

Jakarto takes Tinnu to Dr. Deepak, who informs him that the doll is with Nisha. However, the doll is missing from Nisha's home.

Tinnu believes that Nisha knows about diamonds. He threatens Nisha to hand over the doll with diamonds. Nisha escapes and hides in a chemical factory.

Unable to catch Nisha, Tinnu gets frustrated and shoots randomly at the chemical bottles, spilling chemicals and gases in the room where Nisha is hiding. CBI Officer Neelkanth Sahay (Tinnu Anand) reaches the factory and saves the life of Nisha. However, Nisha loses her eyesight and becomes blind.

In the meantime, Anand (Arman Kohli) returns after becoming a police officer and wants to meet Nisha. However, blind Nisha does not want to be a burden and ignores his phone calls without letting Anand know about her blindness.

Anand visits Nisha's home, but Nisha and Deepak enact a drama of being girlfriend-boyfriend. Anand witnesses it and starts hating Nisha.

On the other hand, Tinnu and Sir John are looking for diamonds, and the life of Nisha is in danger. What happens next is the rest of the story of Kohra.

Short Film Review of Kohra (1993)
