Movie Plot
Kavyanjali alias Kavya (Tia Bajpai), a simple girl, lives with her husband, Professor Vivek Agnihotri (Gaurav Chopra), in Lucknow. Everything seems fine in their relationship from the outside world. However, Kavya feels like being raped and being a victim of marital rape.
Eventually, in the quest to seek justice, she seeks the help of a renowned advocate Geeta Bishwas (Bidita Bag), who agrees to file the case of marital rape. The matter comes into the court, where Geeta has to face Dudhari Singh (Ashutosh Rana), a cunning and egoistic advocate, as her opponent. Dudhari Singh has a great reputation, and it is chalenging to beat him in a legal battle.
Soon Geeta realizes that her maid Naseena is also a marital rape victim, and the repeated raped by her husband caused a miscarriage. Geeta also discovers that her friend Anita lost her life after being raped by her husband, Ravi (Aman Verma), under the influence of alcohol.
What happens next? Will Kavya get justice? Or Dudhari Singh will convince the court that there is no term "marital rape" in any section of the Indian Penal Code.
