Major is an upcoming Indian biographical film directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka and produced by Sony Pictures Releasing International, G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment and A+S Movies. Shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, it is based on the life of 2008 Mumbai attacks martyr Sandeep Unnikrishnan.

Major is scheduled to be releaed on 3 June2022.

Adivi Sesh portrays Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the title character, in addition to writing the script. He has made his Hindi Film debut with this film.

Production News

The film was declared in February 2019, with Adivi Sesh in the number one spot role. The film is created by Telugu film entertainer Mahesh Babu under his studio G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment, in a joint effort with Sony Pictures India and A+S Movies.

Head photography started in February 2020. By September 2020, over half of the film had been shot, and further shooting is intended to happen in Hyderabad in October 2020. Sobhita Dhulipala shooting finished her parts in November 2020.
