Mera Gaon Mera Desh (1971) Movie Plot: After completing 6 months jail a small town thief Ajit (Dharmendra) is told to meet Hawaldar Major Jaswant Singh (Jayant) for employment who helped police to make Ajit Arrest.
Ajit visits in the village where Jaswant Singh used to live and starts forming for him who in turn pays Ajit some money. During farming he meets a pretty and lively village girl Anju (Asha Parekh) and after some initial differences they fall in love with each other.
The village is feared with the wrath of Jabbar (Vinod Khanna), a cruel and heartless dacoit. When Ajit comes across him he is badly beaten by Jabbar. Situation gets worse when Jabbar abducts Anju after killing her father.
