Hari (Bharath) and Rama (Veena Bhojan) got married without the permission of the father of Rama (K S Ravi Shankar). Thus, the father stopped talking to her daughter.
After a few years, Hari, with his wife Rama and an 8-9-year-old son, visits Rama's village for a holy ritual because Rama often remains afraid of someone who does not exist for Hari.
After the rituals, Hari received telephonically news for getting his dream project. Hari plans to return on the same night. However, his father-in-law advises him not to leave at night.
Hari leaves his in-laws at night with his wife and son in his car. In the mid-way, he finds the road closed. Hari prefers to go through a shortcut. However, after some time, the car gets punctured at midnight.
After changing the tire, Hari fails to start the vehicle, and in the meantime, a masked man attacks Hari and his family. The masked man soon takes over the car and leaves with the wife and the son, leaving the injured Hari alone in the middle of an isolated road.
Who is the masked man? Why did the masked man hit Hari and kidnap the family? Can Hari save his family before the masked man harms them? The film Miral replies to all such queries with a twisted climax.
