Movie Plot

Alexander Golitsyn (Marcel Iure?), a rogue agent, steals secret information that contains a fake list of CIA agents. He now needs the second list that comprises the original names of the Agents.

The Impossible Missions Force (IMF) team, headed by a senior agent Jim Phelps (Jon Voight), includes some expert members, namely Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruice), Claire Phelps (Emmanuelle Béart), Sarah (Kristin Scott Thomas), Jack Harmon (Emilio Estevez), and Hannah Williams (Ingeborga Dapk?nait?), who aim to take the mission in Prague.

Unexpected twist

The team reaches Prague intending to catch Alexander Golitsyn (Marcel Iure?) while he steals the second list. The IMF team replaces the list with a fake list, and Golitsyn steals the same.

Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and other team members are ready to catch Golitsyn, but the mission unexpectedly fails when the team leader Jim (Jon Voight) orders to abort the mission before someone shoots him.

Ethan and other team members continue the mission, but within a few minutes, Ethan finds all other agents killed

Prime suspect

Ethan meets IMF director Eugene Kittridge (Henry Czerny) in a restaurant and explains the critical situation.

Hunt realizes that another IMF team was present during the mission to lure out a mole within the IMF with the help of Golitsyn, who was posing as the rogue agent.

IMF director believes that the mole is working with an arms dealer Max as part of "Job 314." However, Ethan gets shocked to know that he is the prime suspect because he is the only survivor on the team, and someone has deposited a hefty amount in his parent's bank account.

Since Ethan knows he is not the mole, he escapes from there to find out the mole. He returns to the Prague safe house and gets another shock to see Claire (Emmanuelle Béart) there alive, who is supposed to die with other agents during the operation.

Initially, Ethan suspects Claire but later realizes that she is innocent too. Claire is the wife of Jim (Jon Voight) and wants to revenge his death by finding the mole in IMF. Ethan and Claire decide to help each other to find the mole.

Finding Max, the arms dealer

No one knows about Max, but the extra-intelligent Ethan soon realizes that "Job 314" refers to verse 3:14 of the Bible, with "Job" being the mole's code name.

Hunt understands the code and sends an email to Max and soon receives an invitation from Max. However, to his surprise, Max is a female (Vanessa Redgrave).

Ethan informs Max the agent list she has, is fake with a tracking device. Max initially does not believe Ethan since he used to be an Agent.

However, when cops tracking her hideout compels Max to believe Hunt, who promises to deliver the original list of $10 million with the true identity of "Job," the mole in the IMF.

Mission impossible begins

The secret list is in a very secure location. The room is impossible to enter without authorization. Even if someone tries to enter through the roof, the alarm will sound if the temperature of the room increase by one degree.

Ethan takes the help of two disavowed IMF agents, Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames) and Franz Krieger (Jean Reno). Luther is a skilled computer hacker, whereas Franz Krieger is a trained pilot.

Hunt, Luther, and Franz Krieger start the impossible mission. Can they steal the list? If yes, how? What would Hunt do with the list? Will he give the list to Max? Who is the mole in IMF?

Film Mission: Impossible gives replies to all such queries with several twists and turns.
