Mission: Impossible-Dead Reckoning Part One is an United states English -language ( Action and Spy ) film released in cinemas on 12 July 2023.
Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One is an American English-language Spy Action Thriller film initially released on 12 June 2023 in Rome. The film had its worldwide premiere, in cinemas, on 12 July 2023.
The film is a sequel to the 2018 American Action Thriller movie Mission: Impossible - Fallout. Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One is the seventh installment in the Mission: Impossible film series, and thus popularly known as MI 7.
Christopher McQuarrie, who helmed the 2018 Hollywood film Mission: Impossible - Fallout (MI 6), is the director of Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One.
Tom Cruise reprises his role as Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One. The film has an ensemble cast including Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Esai Morales, Vanessa Kirby, Pom Klementieff, Henry Czerny, and many others.
Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise), an IMF agent, is assigned a mission to retrieve half of a Key from his ally, Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), who is being hunted.
The Key holds the power to control an experimental AI known as the Entity. The major powers are racing to gain control of the Entity, while Ethan believes it must be destroyed.
Ethan travels to the Arabian Desert's Empty Quarter and reunites briefly with Ilsa. He advises her to lay low and stay out of sight.
Back in the US, Ethan infiltrates a meeting of intelligence agencies discussing the Entity. It was initially designed to sabotage digital systems but has become sentient and infiltrated defense and military systems. Everyone wants to control or destroy it.
Ethan and his teammates Benji (Simon Pegg) and Luther (Ving Rhames) head to Abu Dhabi International Airport.
They aim to intercept the other half of the Key. Ethan evades Community agents and Gabriel (Esai Morales), who has a connection to his past but loses the Key to a burglar named Grace. Meanwhile, Luther discovers a nuclear explosive sent by the Entity but manages to defuse it.
Ethan is surprised by the Entity's powers and Gabriel's appearance. He decides to go after Grace (Hayley Atwell) alone.
In Rome, Ethan tracks down Grace while chasing down Community agents and Gabriel. After a long chase, Grace escapes, but Ethan reunites with his team and Ilsa.
Ethan, Ilsa, Benji, and Luther infiltrate a party hosted by arms dealer Alanna Mitsopolis (Vanessa Kirby) in Venice. They aim to find the buyer for the complete Key and understand its purpose.
Grace delivers the half-key to Alanna, and Ethan fails to convince her to stop selling it. The team scatters, with Gabriel killing Ilsa before Ethan can save her.
Grace, feeling remorseful, decides to join Ethan's team. They prepare to board a train bound for Innsbruck, where Alanna will meet the buyer. Luther departs to investigate traces of the Entity on his hard drive.
On the train, Gabriel kills the conductor and destroys the brakes. He meets Denlinger (Cary Elwes), who proposes an alliance with the Entity.
Denlinger reveals that the complete Key unlocks the chamber housing the computer of the Sevastopol, a Russian submarine. The Entity was injected into the system to sabotage its stealth, but it caused the submarine's self-destruction instead.
Gabriel kills Denlinger and attempts to eliminate Paris (Pom Klementieff), who knows the Key's purpose.
Grace (disguised as Alanna) hands the Key to Kittridge (Henry Czerny), but she later pickpockets it back, choosing to side with Ethan.
Ethan parachutes onto the train to save Grace, but Gabriel obtains the Key. Ethan defeats Gabriel but spares his life.
Gabriel escapes and triggers a countdown to blow up the bridge. Ethan and Grace detach the locomotive to save the passengers. However, they remain stranded on the broken bridge. Paris, on the brink of death, saves them just in time.
Paris informs Ethan about Sevastopol before losing consciousness. As Ethan escapes the train, Grace informs Kittridge of her decision to join IMF. Ethan reunites with Benji, and they drive off with the Key, which Ethan had pickpocketed.
How Ethan Hunt and his team successfully foil the plans of the Entity and its allies is the rest of the story of the film Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One.
