Mrs. (2023) Movie Synopsis
Mrs. is an upcoming Hindi (Bollywood) Family Drama film. The tentative release date of the film is 18 December 2023. The makers will soon announce the official release date.
Mrs. is the Hindi remake of writer-director Jeo Baby’s critically acclaimed Malayalam film The Great Indian Kitchen (2021). Nimisha Sajayan and Suraj Venjaramoodu played the lead role in the movie.
The Tamil language film with the same name is a remake of The Great Indian Kitchen (2021). Aishwarya Rajesh and Rahul Ravindran played the lead roles in the movie.
In the Hindi remake, Mrs., Sanya Malhotra and Angad Bedi reprise the roles played by Nimisha Sajayan and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the original Malayalam version of The Great Indian Kitchen (2021).

Movie Plot
An educated dancer (Sanya Malhotra) gets an arranged marriage with a teacher (Angad Bedi) who belongs to a very traditional and patriarchal family.
The problem ensues when the wife see that women in the house have to take all the domestic work like cleaning utensil, leaking taps, and drudgery of the kitchen, whereas the men work on their phone and fitness.
The family is a men-dominated family where the men eat their meals first and leave the place a mess without concern for how the women can eat after them. Their convenience and comfort always come before consideration for their wives.
While the new bride takes a while to adjust to these new surroundings and eventually somewhat makes peace with them until her mother-in-law goes to take care of her daughter, who is seven months pregnant.
As soon as the mother-in-law departs, the responsibility of cooking, cleaning, and other household chores falls on the newly-wedded wife. Her egotistical husband is inconsiderate of her needs and feelings. The male ego soon spoils their sexual life too. More unpleasant events and injustices happen with the wife.
