Ottu (2022) Movie Synopsis
Ottu [meaning: Betrayal] is a Malayalam-Tamil bilingual Action-Thriller released on 8 September 2022 in Malayalam. The Tamil version, named Rendagam, was released on 23 September 2022.
Rendagam is also the name of the Hindi dubbed version of Ottu, released in 2023.

Movie Plot
Kichu (Kunchacko Boban), a happy-go-lucky man, has dreams of making easy money. He loves Kalyani (Eesha Rebba) and wants to settle outside India with her.
Kalyani's father, Chachan (Aadukalam Naren), gives him a lucrative offer to befriend a lonely man David (Arvind Swamy). Kichu learns that David is a dreaded gangster and has information about gold worth about 30 crores. However, David lost his memory during a shootout at Udupi.
Kichu has to befriend David and find out about the hideout of the gold. Kichu is initially hesitant, but he eventually agrees to the job for the money.
David (Arvind Swamy) now works as a popcorn seller in a movie theatre. Kichu makes many failed attempts to befriend David but finally becomes friends with David.
Kichu plans to regain the lost memories of David and requests to accompany him to Udupi, where David lost his memories. David reluctantly accompanies Kichu.
Twist after twist
The first twist
On the way to Udupi, they stop at Goa and consume alcohol. After drinking alcohol, Kichu loses control of his senses and tells his true intentions to David, who gets surprised.
Another twist
After receiving a shock from Kichu (Kunchacko Boban) by learning his true intentions, David (Arvind Swamy) reveals that he is Assainar, David's Boss, and not David.
Some big revelations are yet to come. However, telling them here will become a spoiler.
