Police Public (1990) is a Mystery Thriller Bollywood Hindi Movie released on 11 May, 1990 (India). The movie was produced by Vijay P. Mehta and directed by Esmayeel Shroff. Police Public is a remake of Mammootthy starrer Malayalam Movie Oru CBI Diary Kurippu (1988). Police Public stars Raaj Kumar, Naseeruddin Shah, Poonam Dhillon and Prem Chopra in lead roles. Kabir Bedi, Raj Kiran, Rakesh Bedi, Ajit Vachani and Harish Patel played supporting roles.
Police Public (1990) Movie Plot: Karuna (Poonam Dhillon) is wife of Arun Sharma (Raj Kiran) who is son of a politician Kishan Sharma (Prem Chopra). Karuna gets some issues with Arun while he was going away. Arun thrashes Karuna and goes out and Karuna is killed in his absence. Kishan Sharma calls for the police.
Police Officer Shah Nawaz Khan (Kabir Bedi) is assigned the task and he starts doubting Arun. Shah Nawaz Khan is transferred and a corrupt Police Officer Maha Singh Garhwal (Naseeruddin Shah) is appointed in the case who files his repot in favour of Arun. This report is questioned by Aruna’s Father Ram Swaroop (A.K. Hangal) and the matter is hyped; Government appoints an honest CBI Officer Jagmohan Azad (Raaj Kumar) to dig out mystery behind her murder.
