Qaidi [meaning: Prisoner] is a Hindi (Bollywood) Action film released on 18 May 1984. Film Qaidi is a remake of the Telugu film Khaidi (1983) that also took inspiration from the 1982 American (Hollywood) Action movie First Blood.
S S Ravichandra is the Director, G. Hanumantha Rao is the Producer, and Krishna is the Presenter of Qaidi. Kader Khan is the Dialogue Writer, and Indeevar is the Lyrics Writer of Qaidi.

ASP Dinesh Jugran (Shatrughan Sinha) finds a bearded man (Jitendra) wrapped in a blanket on a deserted road. Dinesh finds him suspicious and asks him to accompany him to the police station. The bearded man (Jitendra) refuses to go, and Dinesh takes out his service revolver. Dinesh finds a big knife with the bearded man and arrests him.
The bearded man (Jitendra) prefers not to talk at the police station. He neither tells his name nor allows the police to take his fingerprints and flee from the police station. However, he gets injured during police firing.
The bearded man enters a house and gets unconscious. While he regains consciousness, the man finds him in the house of Dr. Sunita (Hema Malini), who gives him treatment. Sunita asks the bearded man to stay there for some time as he is badly injured.
The man is Suraj (Jeetendra), a resident of a nearby village. He completes his graduation and aims to be an IAS Officer. Preeti (Madhavi) also studies with him in the same college.
Preeti is the daughter of Bansi Lal (Kader Khan), who is not a good person and is a tyrant in the village. Sharma (Asrani), Raghu (Ranjeet), and Sudarshan Lal (Shakti Kapoor) are his associates in petty crimes.
Yashpal (Bharat Bhushan) is the father of Suraj. Yahspal has two children, a son Suraj (Jeetendra), and a daughter Seeta (Vidya Sinha).
Raghu (Ranjeet) witnesses Suraj and Preeti together and informs Bansi Lal about the same. Bansi Lal tries to make his daughter understand, but Preeti clarifies that she will marry Suraj.
Bansi Lal then compels Yashpal to return the loan. Later he kills Yashpal with the help of Sharma and Raghu and proves it a suicide. Moreover, Bansi demands his loan back before the cremation of Yashpal. Suraj then promises to stay in the village until he pays back the loan of Bansi Lal.
Raghu (Ranjeet) and Sudarshan Lal (Shakti Kapoor) try to molest Seeta (Vidya Sinha). When Seeta revolts, they brutally kill her and incriminates Suraj.
Suraj now takes the law into his hands and wants to kill all the culprits. The rest of the drama depicts what Suraj does to take revenge and who helps him in his mission.
