Movie Plot

Rani: The Real Story depicts the story of a murder and its subsequent investigation.

Dharmarajan (Guru Somasundaram), a Local MLA, is a mysteriously-tough politician with powerful connections and influence within the local area.

Raju Chettan (Maniyanpillai Raju), the Deputy Superintendent of Police, and his assistant Soman (Krishnan Balakrishnan) start the investigation.

The investigation leads to the mysterious housemaid. Police accuse and frame her for the high-profile murder of Dharmarajan. However, three families for whom she works vehemently defend the housemaid.

Further investigation brings six women as primary suspects. As the investigation progresses, it explores several aspects of the man, as told by the wife, sister, mistress, a friend, and people close to Dharmarajan. 

The rest of the movie is all about the investigation. Who actually committed the murder? And why? "Rani: The True Story" gives us the answers to these questions.
