Shaktiman (1993) [Film] Synopsis

Shaktiman is a Hindi (Bollywood) Action film released on 9th December 1993.

Shaktimaan was also the most popular Indian superhero Television series from 1997 to 2005. Mukesh Khanna, who played a pivotal role in the Hindi film Shaktimaan (1993), also played the imaginary character of the Superhero Shaktimaan in the above-said Television series.

In 2022, Sony Pictures and Bheeshm International brought back the magic of Shaktimaan (Superhero) and announced a film titled Shaktimaan with Mukesh Khanna in a lead role.

Ajay Devgn and Karisma Kapoor play the lead pair in the film. Mukesh Khanna, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Gulshan Grover, Ajit Khan, Parikshat Sahni, Anjana Mumtaz, and Mahavir Shah play pivotal roles in Shaktimaan (1993).

Movie Plot

A childless Businessman, Rai Bahadur Laxminarayan (Kulbhushan Kharbanda), lives a wealthy lifestyle in Bombay with his wife, Laxmi (Beena Banerjee).

Rai Bahadur and Laxmi visit Shimla. Their servant Diler (Mukesh Khanna), lives in Shimla with his wife, Parvati (Anjana Mumtaz). During their stay in Shimla Rai Bahadur and Laxmi, Parvati gives birth to a baby boy Vicky.

Laxmi suggests Rai Bahadur adopt the newly-born son of Diler and Parvati. Diler overhears and gives his son to Rai Bahadur even after the protest of his wife, Parvati (Anjana Mumtaz).

Plot Twist

After some time, a miracle happens, and Laxmi (Beena Chatterjee) becomes pregnant and revisits Shimla. Rai Bahadur has to go outside, and during his absence, Laxmi meets with an accident and passes away after giving birth to a baby boy Amar.

Diler becomes selfish and wants to kill Amar so that his son Vicky remains the only son of Rai Bahadur and his wealth. However, Parvati wishes to hand over Amar to Rai Bahadur, and thus she runs away with the newly-born Amar.

Parvati visits Bombay (now Mumbai) in search of Rai Bahadur without his address and fails to find him. She then raises Amar like her son. Diler also relocates to Mumbai and becomes a Taxi Driver.

Time passes, and Amar (Ajay Devgn) becomes a Police Officer. He loves Priya (Karisma Kapoor), the daughter of the Superintendent of Police (Pariskshit Sahni).

Vicky (Gulshan Grover) becomes a brat. He studies in a college with Priya and wants to marry her. Rai Bahadur (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) and Priya's father (Parikshit Sahni) are close friends, and they also wish for the marriage of Priya and Vicky.

The biggest twist

Vicky kills one of his college students, and criminal Shamsher Singh alias Tiger (Ajit) takes a photograph of the crime. However, Diler (Mukesh Khanna) sees Vicky committing the crime, and to save his son, he takes away the dead body in his car. On the way, Diler sees a broken-down Car. He transfers the dead body to the car and runs away.

The broken-down car is of Priya. When Vicky learns about the dead body in Priya's car, he starts blackmailing Priya. On the other hand, Tiger (Ajit) starts blackmailing Vicky.
