The Kerala Story is a Hindi Drama film released on 5 May 2023 in Cinemas.
The controversial teaser of the film claims that thousands of girls from Kerala are being converted to Islam for recruitment to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

Movie Plot
Shalini Unnikrishnan (Adah Sharma) and Gitanjali (Siddhi Idnani) are Hindus by caste, study in the same college, and share the same hostel.
Nimah (Yogita Bihani), a Christian girl, studies with Shalini and Gitanjali and shares the same hostel room. The trio befriends Asifa (Sonia Balani), a Muslim girl.
Asifa brainwashes her three friends against Hinduism. Shalini and Geetanjli both accept Islam. However, Nimah, the Christian girl, refuses to accept Islam.
Shalini falls for a Muslim boy Rameez (Pranay Pachauri), whereas Gitanjali falls for another Muslim boy, Abdul (Pranav Mishra). Both couples plan to marry soon. In the meantime, Shalini gets pregnant, and Rameez goes missing.
Shalini has to marry Ishak (Vijay Krishna), who accepts her with her unborn child. After the marriage, Shalini goes to Syria with her husband and starts living a miserable life she has never imagined. She wants to escape, but it is not an easy task for her.
In the meantime, Gitanjali leaves Abdul. The frustrated guy shares their private videos on social media, instigating Gitanjali to commit suicide.
