The Song Of Scorpions is a Hindi Drama film released on 28 April 2023 in India as a Tribute to the late Mr. Irrfan Khan. The film initially premiered at Locarno Film Festival on 9 August 2017. It premiered in many other film festivals before releasing in the United States on 6 April 2021.
The Song of Scorpions is a story of twisted love, revenge, and the redemptive power of a song.
The Song Of Scorpions tells the story of Nooran (Golshifteh Farahani), a carefree and defiantly independent tribal woman learning the ancient art of healing from her grandmother, a revered scorpion singer, and mother, Zubaida (Waheeda Rehman).
When Aadam (Irrfan Khan), a camel trader in the Rajasthan desert, hears her sing, he falls desperately in love. However, Aadam is married and has children too.
Aadan sends a marriage proposal to Nooran, but she rejects the repeated marriage proposals. Frustrated, Aadan sends his friend Munna (Shashank Arora) to rape Nooran.
Nooran is distraught after the rape. The situation gets worsened when her mother deserts her, leaving her alone.
Hopeless Nooran now marries Aadan, hoping and believing this could end her miseries. However, she soon learns that it was Aadan who planned her rape.
What does Norran do? Will she forgive Aadan or take revenge? If yes, how?
