The Storyteller is a Hindi (Bollywood) Drama film premiered on 8 October 2022 at Busan International Film Festival. The film premiered in India on 21 November 2022 at International Film Festival of India, Goa. The film film release in USA on 9 January 2023 at Palm Springs International Film Festival.
The film adaptation of legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray's short story 'Golpo Bolo Tarini Khuro.'
Tarini Khuro [Uncle Tarini] is a fictional character created by Satyajit Ray. The full name of Tarini Khuro is Tarini Charan Bandopadhyay. Thus, Golpo Bolo Tarini Khuro means Uncle Tarini, tell a story.

Anant Mahadevan and Srijato have written the additional screenplay and additional dialogue.
Suchhanda Chatterjee, Salil Chaturvedi, Jyoti Deshpande, and Shubha Shetty have jointly produced The Storyteller.
Alphonse Roy is the Cinematographer, Gourav Gopal Jha is the Film Editor, and Hriju Roy is the Music Director of The Storyteller.
Cast
Paresh Rawal played the fictitious character of Tarini (Tarini Charan Bandopadhyay). Adil Hussain, Revathi, and Tannishtha Chatterjee are there in pivotal roles. Adil Hussain replaced Naseeruddin Shah in The Story Teller.
Movie Plot
Tarini Ranjan Bandhopadhyay (Paresh Rawal), a maverick storyteller, is notorious for not sticking to one job and has switched 32 jobs in his working career.
Now at 60, retired in Kolkata, and a widower, his only regret is that he could never find the time to give his late wife Anuradha (Revathi) the vacation she always desired.
And now, out of a job, Tarini Ranjan has all the time in the world, but his near ones aren’t close to him.
Based on the short stories of Satyajit Ray, The storyteller also focuses the aspects of originality versus plagiarism. The question arises what is more important, the story or the storyteller?
