Thugs is a Tamil-language Thriller Drama film released in cinemas on 24 February 2023. The film had its digital premiere on 20 May 2023 on the OTT platform Jio Cinema.
Kumari Jille Ke Thugs is the Hindi dubbed version of Thugs, available on the OTT platform Jio Cinema. Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) issued a UA rating to Kumari Jille Ke Thugs vide certificate No. DIL/2/236/2023-MUM on 9 May 2023.

Movie Plot
Sethu (Hridhu Haroon) is an educated innocent young love boy whose father works as an Accountant for Annachi. Sethu gets a job as an Accountant when his father dies untimely.
Sethu meets a pretty girl Priya (Anaswara Rajan), and both fall for each other. Sethu accidentally kills one of the goons of Annachi, who often teases Priya.
Sethu seeks help from his childhood friend Charlie (Moor), who works as a Driver for Annachi. Charlie, with the help of Sehtu, steals the money and property documents of Annachi. He makes a plan to flee Australia via Srilanka.
Charlie goes to Australia with the property documents because he wants to take avenge Annachi, who killed Charlie's father. Money is with Sethu, who remains in Kerala, India, with Priya because their passports are not readily available. However, Charlie sends Sethu and Priya to a man who can arrange tickets for the couple.
In the meantime, Sethu gets arrested and sent to jail for the unplanned murder. On his first day, Sethu successfully helps the jail security foil an escape plan for some prisoners. Consequently, the head wards Doss (R.K. Suresh) start favouring him.
Twist in the story
Sethu wants to flee from jail. He shares his plan with Durai (Bobby Simha), his cellmate. When Durai agrees, Sethu informs that he needs more men because they two are not enough to flee from jail.
Sethu and Durai form a group and start digging a tunnel through the toilet of the jail cell. However, the task is not as easy as it appears. Their plan also halts when the jail warden shifts Durai to the Central Jail.
The rest of the story of Thugs depicts how Sethu plans to escape. What hurdles do he and the inmates face while digging the tunnel that opens in the jail premises? Will Sethu flee from jail? What happens to Durai and other inmates?
