Toofaan is a Bollywood Sports Drama (Boxing) Hindi earlier scheduled to be released on 18 September 2020. However, its release was postponed due to  COVID 19 epidemics. The film filnally released on 16 July 2021 directely on OTT Platform Amazon Prime Videos. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has directed the film in additon to producing it along with Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.

Music Trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy composed songs for the movie whereas Raju Singh composed the background music. However, no song has been released yet. Anjum Rajabali has written the screenplay of the film and Vijay Maurya has finalized the dialogues.

Toofaan (2021) Cast & Crew

Toofaan stars Farhan Akhtar as a National Level Boxer. After the blockbuster movie, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013) Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra again collaborates with Farhan Akhtar. Paresh Rawal, Mrunal Thakur, and Isha Talwar also played pivotal roles in the movie. Vijay Raaz not only played an important role in the movie but also narrated the films.

Darshan Kumaar, Supriya Pathak, Mohan Agashe, Arif Zakaria, Rajendra Chawla, Vattanak Khun, Abhishek Khandekar, Bhupindder Bhhoopii, and Radhy Shayam Giri played supporting roles in the movie.

Movie Plot

Toofaan is a story of a local goon who later becomes National Level Boxer. The girl named Ananya (Mrunal Thakur) who supports him belongs to Hindu community whereas the Boxer Ali (Farhan Akhtar) belongs to Muslim community. Narayan Prabhu, father of Ananya, who is the coach of Ali rejects their collaboreation. The couple started living together separately. However, some circumstances changes their life for good.
