Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973) is a Bollywood Drama Movie released on 2 November, 1973 (India). The movie was produced and directed by Nasir Hussain. The movie was written by famous writer duo Salim-Javed. Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973) got commercial success on Box Office by earning Rs. 5.5 Crores and also became the 5th Highest Grossing Bollywood Movie of the year 1973 after Bobby, Jugnu, Daag and Zanjeer.
Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973) stars Dharmendra in lead role who was nominated for Filmafare Best Actor Award. However, the award went to Rishi Kapoor for Bobby. Other cast of the movie includes Zeenat Aman, Vijay Arora, Tariq Khan, Amir Khan (As child artist), Satyenra Kapoor and Shetty.
Music for Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973) was composed by R.D. Burman who was nominated for Best Music Director Award in the 21st Filmfare Awards for his melodious and unforgettable songs like O Meri Soni, Aap Ke Kamre Me Koi, Lekar Hum Deewana Dil, Yaadon Ki Baaraat (Title Song) evergreen Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo Dil Ko. All lyrics were penned by Majrooh Sultanpuri.
A man witnesses Shakaal (Ajit) implementing a robbery. Shakaal decides to kill him by covering his face. The man and his wife (Ashu) were killed in front of their two sons Shankar and Vijay. They flee from there with the help of a kind hearted goon Jack (Satyen Kappu). Shakar, the elder brother, boards on a running train and tries a failed attempt to pull Vijay also. Shankar and Vijay apart and their youngest brother Monto remains with their Maid who was not present at home at the time of massacre.
Three brothers grow old in three different situations Shankar (Dharmendra) a petty criminal with the memories of his parents’ murder and he continuously searches for the murderer. Vijay is adopted by a wealthy businessman who falls in love with his daughter Sunita (Zeenat Aman). The youngest son who was raised by the maid becomes a singer and likes his co singer (Neetu Singh).
How the three brothers gets united and how Shankar recognize the killer of his Mother and Father is rest of the story.
