Bismillah is Bengali -language ( Drama and Musical ) film released in cinemas on 19 August 2022.
The story follows a young man who is born into a family of traditional shehnai players. His family expects him to continue the same art. But he dreams of playing the flute, which is not allowed in his family tradition.
As digital music becomes popular across Bengal, he feels even more confused about his place in the world. He struggles to balance his passion for the flute, his own identity and the heritage he has grown up with.
While finding his path, he also tries to revive the fading musical legacy of his family and save an art form that is slowly disappearing.
