Latt Saheb [meaning: Big Lord], also known as Laat Saheb, is an Indian Hindi-language Romance Drama film released on 24 November 1967.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) issued a U rating to Latt Saheb, vide certificate No. U-51886-MUM dated 20 October 1967. The certificate was renewed vide No. U-88423-MUM dated 4 October 1978.
Shammi Kapoor and Nutan play the lead roles in Latt Saheb. The film also features Prem Chopra, Murad, Om Prakash, Rajendra Nath, Lalita Pawar, Ram Avtar, Indira, and Vedna in prominent roles.
Jugnu (Shammi Kapoor) lives a poor lifestyle with his mother (Lalita Pawar), who fears his son will die within 90 days. She warns her son not to indulge in any dangerous work. On the other hand, Jugnu is always ready to help others and even faces a tiger to save a kid.
Jugnu works in a wood factory owned by Mr. Rana (Murad), a gentle and polite man. Prem (Prem Chopra) works as a manager in the wood factory.
Nikki Rana (Nutan), the daughter of Mr. Ran (Murad), returns from a foreign after completing her studies. Jugnu saves Nikki's life twice.
Nikki falls in love with Jugnu. On the other hand, Rana is planning to marry his daughter Prem. Nikki tells the truth to her father, who agrees to her collaboration with Jugnu.
Circumstances compel Nikki to believe that Jugnu has ruined the life of a village girl with speaking and hearing disability.
Jugnu is innocent and tries to prove his point. However, neither Nikki nor his mother believes him. Nikki breaks up with Jugun and agrees to marry Prem.
What happens to the love story of Jugnu and Nikki? Will Jugnu die after 90 days, as his mother fears? What plan Prem has to have Nikki in his life to acquire the wealth of Mr. Rana?
