Let Us Live is a 1939 English Crime and Drama film released in cinemas on 29 March 1939. .
Cab driver Brick Tennant (Henry Fonda) and his friend Joe Linden are wrongly accused of murder because of false witness statements and weak evidence. The court believes the story and sentences both men to death.
Brick knows he is innocent. His fiancée, Mary Roberts (Maureen O'Sullivan), refuses to give up on him. She asks Detective Lieutenant Everett (Ralph Bellamy) to help prove the truth. They focus on finding a car that people wrongly think is Brick’s taxi.
A group of newsboys helps track down the missing cab and points toward the real criminals. But Everett faces trouble in his own department and gets suspended for supporting the two men. With time running out, Mary and Everett take a big risk. They decide to catch the real killers themselves to save Brick and Joe from dying for a crime they never committed.
