Razakar: The Silent Genocide is an Indian Telugu-language ( Historical , Period and Drama ) film released in cinemas on 15 March 2024.
The film was a PAN India released in Hindi,Kannada,Malayalam,Tamil, and Marathi in addition to the original Telugu languages.
Formed in 1938, the Razakars were the paramilitary volunteer force of the nationalist party in the Hyderabad State under the British Raj.
The film is based on massacres in Hyderabad between September-October 1948 that resulted in the deaths of around 40000 civilians.
The story of the film revolves around the Hyderabad Liberation Movement of 1948. The film depicts atrocities, like the episode of Gundrampally, Parkala, and Bhairanpally villages.
