Aradhana (1969) is an Indian Bollywood Romantic Movie released on 7 November, 1969 (India). The movie was produced and directed by Shakti Samanta. The movie was written by Sachin Bhowmick. Aradhana won the Filmfare Award for Best Film in the 17th Filmfare Awards. The movie was later remade in Tamil as Sivangamiyin (1974) and in Telugu as Kannavari Kalalu (1974).
Aradhana (1969) became Blockbuster on Box Office by earning Rs. 17.85 Crores and also became the Highest Grossing Bollywood Movie for the year 1969 followed by Do Raaste, Ek Phool Do Mali, Bandan and Pyar Ka Mausam.

Kishore Kumar composed and sung the song Roop Tera Mastana. All other songs were composed by S.D. Burman assisted by his Son R.D. Burman. All songs became superhit like Mere Sapno Ki Raani, Kora Kagaz Tha, Gun Guna Rahe Hain and Chanda Hai Tu in addition to Roop Tera Mastana.
Indian Air Force Pilot Arun Verma (Rajesh Khanna) and Vandana (Sharmila Tagore) falls in love get married secretly. However, Arun dies in a plane crash leaving devastated and pregnant Vandana whose father dies and Arun’s family deny accepting her.
Vandana gives birth to a Son (Suraj) but the society and circumstances force her to hand over Suraj to a couple who officially adopts him. Vandana becomes Nanny of Suraj to be close to his Son. After some time when Shyam (Manmohan) is try to rape Vandana he is stabbed by Suraj but Vandana takes the blame on her and sent to jail.
Years later Vandana releases from Jail and takes shelter in the house of Jailor (Madan Puri) and finds his daughter Renu (Farida Jalal) is dating Suraj (Rajesh Khanna in double role). Jailor knows that Suraj is Son of Vandana by she denies him to disclose the truth to Suraj.
