Drishyam 2 (meaning: Visual 2) is a 2022 Hindi (Bollywood) Crime Thriller film released on 18 November 2022.

Drishyam is a remake of the 2021 Malayalam film of the same name and is the sequel to the 2015 Hindi film Drishyam.

Cast & Crew

Abhishek Pathak is the Director and one of the Producers of Drishyam 2. The other producers are Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Kumar Mangat Pathak.

Devi Sri Prasad is the Music Director, Sudhir K. Chaudhary is the Cinematographer, and Sandeep Francis is the Film Editor of Drishyam 2.

Cast

Movie Plot

In Drishyam (2015), we see that Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn) lives happily with his wife Nandini (Shriya Saran), adopted elder daughter Anju (Ishita Dutta), and younger daughter Anu (Mrunal Jadhav). Vijay is very fond of Bollywood films and runs a small business providing Cable Connection.

Sameer alias (Rishab Chadha) is a brat and son of Meera Deshmukh (Tabu), the IG Goa. Risham and Anju study in the same school. One night, while Vijay is still in his shop, Rishab reaches his house and asks Anju for sexual favor by showing a video clip of Anju (Ishita Dutta).

Anju and Nandini (Shriya Saran) try to make Sam understand and request to delete the video, but the brat remains adamant. Anju hits Sam with an iron pipe to break the phone. However, the iron pipe strikes his head, and Sam dies immediately.

When Vijay returns from his office and learns the story, he consoles his family. He hides the dead body at a secret place and draws the car into a distant pond.

Vijay makes a fabricated story and prepares his family members for the same. Since Sam is the son of IG Goa, it becomes a high-profile case. Vijay becomes the prime suspect. IG tortures Vijay and his family members, including the young kid Anju. However, the entire family tells the same fabricated story.

Drishyam (2015) ends by showing the secret place where Vijay hides the dead body of Sam, but the police fail to discover the dead body of Sam, and Vijay finally saves his family.

Drishyam 2 (2022) starts from where Drishyam (2015) ends and depicts the story after seven years of the death of Sam. Tarun Ahlawat (Akshaye Khanna) takes over the charge of IG Goa. He is a friend of Meera Deshmukh (Tabu), the ex-IG Goa.

Tarun starts reinvestigation in the missing case of Sam and decides not to spare Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn). Will Vijay be able to save his family? Will Tarun (Akshaye Khanna) will find the dead body of Sam? How will the police trap Vijay and his family? Drishyam 2 replies to such queries.
