Jeene Ki Raah is a Hindi-language (Bollywood) Romance Drama film released on 7 October 1969 (India). The Censor Board of Film Certification issued a U rating to Jeene Ki Raah vide certificate number 89795 on 2 April 1979.

Jeene Ki Raah is a remake of the Telugu Film Bratuku Theruvu (1953), later dubbed in Tamil as Bale Raman (1956). The movie was remade in Kannada as Badukuva Darri (1966).

After the Hindi version became successful, the movie was remade in Telugu as Barya Biddalu (1971).

The music master duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal composed the music for Jeene Ki Raah. Laxmikant-Pyarelal produced unforgettable romantic songs like Aane Se Us Ke Aaye Bahar, Ek Banjaara Gaaye, Aa Mere Hamjoli Aa, and Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage. Laxmikant-Pyarelal won Filmfare Best Music Director Award for the movie Jeene Ki Raah.

Lata Mangeshkar won Filmfare Best Female Playback Singer Award for the song Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage at the 17th Filmfare Awards (1970). She received another nomination for the song Kaise Rahoon Chup from Intaquam.

Anand Bakshi penned all the beautiful songs of Jeene Ki Raah and received a nomination for Filmfare Best Lyricist Award for the song Aane Se Us Ke Aaye Bahar

Jeene Ki Raah became Superhit at Box Office by earning Rs. 3.2 Crores. The film became the Sixth Highest Grossing Bollywood Movie of 1969 after Aradhana, Do Raaste, Ek Phool Do Mali, Prince, and Intaqam.

Jeene Ki Raah (1969) Movie Plot

Mohan (Jeetendra) needs to earn money to help his family. When he does not get any job, his friend Dr. Manohar (Sanjeev Kumar) introduces him to Mr. Rai (Manmohan Krishna), who gives him the tough job of Secretary on the condition of being unmarried.

Mohan is married, but since the job requires an unmarried person, he pretends to be an unmarried man.

Radha (Tanuja), the daughter of Mr. Rai, has a heart problem. Thus she remains in a wheelchair every time. However, Mohan’s charismatic therapy soon makes her stand up and falls in love with him.

Now Mohan has to live a double life by pleasing Radha and Mr. Rai, and on the other hand, he needs to manage his own family, including his wife Shobha (Anjali Kadam), his daughter, an old age mother, some small kids, and a greedy step sister Sudha (Meena T).
