Kurup (2021) [ South Movie-Hindi Dubbed ]

Kurup is a Malayalam language Biographical Crime Thriller released on 12 November 2021. Kurup was released simultaneously in dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.

The film depicts the story of Sukumara Kurup, a most wanted criminal in the state of Kerala, India.

Kurup has achieved the unique distinction of becoming the first Indian movie to release three non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as a part of its promotion before the theatrical release.

Cast & Crew

Visakh Subramaniam and Dulquer Salmaan are the producers of Kurup. Dulquer Salman has also played the lead in Kurup. Srinath Rajendran has directed it.

Nimish Ravi is the Cinematogpraher, Vivek Harshan is the Editor, and Sushin Shyam is the Music Director of Kurup.

Jithin K. Jose has written the Story of Kurup, whereas K.S. Aravind and Daniell Sayooj Nair have written the Screenplay and the Dialogus. R.P. Bala has written Tamil Dialogues, and Mohan Nair has written the Hindi Dialogues.

Cast

Dulquer Salmaan has played the titular character of Sukumara Kurup. Indrajith Sukumaran has played P.M. Haridas, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Kerala), who initially examined the case of the dead body found in a burnt car.

Sobhita Dhulipala has played the female lead role in Kurup. Shine Tom Chacko, Vijayaraghavan Pillai, Surabhi Lakshmi, and Bharath Srinivasan have played pivotal roles in Kurup.

Sunny Wayne, Anand Bal, Sunny Wayne, Hareesh Kanaran, M. R. Gopakumar, P. Balachandran, Bibin Perumbillikunnel, and Krrish S. Kumar have played supporting roles in the film.

Movie Plot

The story begins in Alappuzha District (Kerala). On 22 January 1984, the local police received information about a burning car.

The police team reaches the spot and finds a man is on the driving seat inside the burning car.

The man in the car dies. The police find it difficult to identify the badly burnt dead body. However, the postmortem report reveals that the person had been murdered.

A relative of the dead person identifies that the body as Sukumar Kurup. The police doubt the identification because the body was completely burnt.

Soon police come to know that Sukumar Kurup is still alive.
