The film is a sequel to the 2016 Hindi (Bollywood) film Laal Rang featuring Randeep Hooda in the lead role.
Randeep Hooda becomes producer with Laal Rang 2. The other producers are Yogesh Rahar and Panchali Chakraverty. Anwar Ali and SonuKental are the Co-Producers, whereas Syed Ahmad Afzalad is the Director of Laal Rang 2.
Randeep Hooda, Pia Bajpaiee, and Akshay Oberoi reprise their roles from Laal Rang (2016). The rest of the cast will be announced soon.
Laal Rang (2016) was a Crime Drama film with a parallel story of friendship and sacrifice. When Shankar (Randeep Hooda) gets arrested by the police, he confesses his crime, saving his friend and partner in crime, Rajesh (Akshay Oberoi), and his wife Poonam (Pia Bajpaiee).
Shankar releases after five years and reunites with Rajesh and Poonam. Surprisingly he meets the son of the couple named Shankar. Laal Rang 2 depicts the story of the friendship between Shankar and Rajesh after Shankar gets released from jail.
