Sonia (Sadhana) lives with her Paternal Uncle General Rajput Singh (Kishore Sahu) and Aunt (Shobhna Samarth). They had a daughter named Sheela (Azra).
The untimely death of Sonia's parents makes her an orphan and thus she lives with her Chacha-Chachi (Pataneral Uncle and Aunt). Sonia is a simple-looking girl. On the other Sheela lives like a modern girl and often teases Sonia for her plain looks. Sonia also hears taunting from her aunt. However, she somehow manages to make her cool and calm.
Sheela loves Dev Kumar (Joy Mukherjee) and plans to marry him soon. She frequently taunts Sonia for not having a Boy Friends due to her simple looks. One day Sonia challenges Sheela that even her simple looks would make Dev fall for her.
