Muddat (1986) is a Thriller Bollywood Drama Movie released on 20 June, 1986 (India). The movie was produced by Firoz Nadiadwala and directed by K. Bapaiah. Muddat (1986) was a remake of Chiranjeevi starrer Telugu Movie Chattamtho Poratam (1985). The movie stars Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada, Padmini Kolhapure, Kader Khan in lead roles. Sadaship Amrapurkar, Satyendra Kapoor, Asrani, Shakti Kapoor, and Ashok Sarraf played supporting roles in the movie.
Muddat (1986) Movie Plot: Thakur Ganjendra Singh (Kadar Khan) is a cruel person and ill treats people like animals. His Brother-In Law Dayaram (Satyendra Kapoor) whose daughter Kalpana (Padmini Kolhapure) is a kind hearted girl and loves Ravi Shankar (Mithun Chakraborty) who also loves her. On the other hand Bharti (Jaya Prada) is a law student and daughter of retired Blind Military Man (Sadashiv Amrapurkar) and also likes Ravi Shankar who is now a famous singer. However, she is going to marry Kripal Singh (Shakti Kapoor) who is the Jailor in the same Jail where Ravi is kept. But Ravi is alleged with a murder of a man Rana (Roopesh Kumar), younger brother of Gajendra Singh, and has confessed his crime for that he is going to be hanged very soon.
Bharti visits Kalpana and investigates about Ravi and believes that Ravi is innocent whereas Kripal Singh does not think so and scolds Bharti for taking Ravi’s side. Bharti, in turn, declares that if Ravi is hanged she would not marry to Kripal Singh.
Bharti makes a plan to befool the court but the court upholds the death penalty against Ravi. But Bharti has something else to make his plan successful and to save Ravi. What is it?
