Pushpa: The Rise - Telugu Film 2021

Pushpa: The Rise is Telugu -language ( Action , Crime ,and Thriller ) film released in cinemas on 17 December 2021.

"Pushpa: The Rise" (Part 1) is an upcoming Telugu Action Thriller film. The worldwide release date of the film is 17 December 2021.

The film will also be released in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada simultaneously in dubbed versions.

The film will be in two cinematic parts. Both parts narrate the story of Red Sandle smuggling in the Seshachalam Hills of the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh.

A sequel to Pushpa: The Rise will be released in 2023.

Cast & Crew

Sukumar Bandreddi has written and Directed "Pushpa: The Rise."  He has collaborated with Allu Arjun for the 3rd time. They earlier did two Telugu hit films Arya (2004) and Arya 2 (2009).

Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar have jointly produced the film. Devi Sri Prasad is the Music Director.

Miroslaw Brozek is the Cinematographer, and Karthika Srinivas is the Film Editor.

Cast

Allu Arjun is the lead actor in "Pushpa: The Rise" in his Bollywood debut. Rashmika Mandana has played the female lead, whereas Samantha Ruth Prabhu has made a special appearance in a song.

Malayalam Actor Fahadh Faasil has played a pivotal role and has made his Telugu debut. Rashmika Mandana has made her Bollywood debut too. However, her official Hindi debut will be Mission Majnu.

Jagapathi Babu and Prakash Raj have also played crucial roles. Vennela Kishore, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Sritej, Dhananjay, Harish Uthaman, Sunil Varma, and Dayanand Reddy have played supporting roles.

Movie Plot

Pushpa Raj (Allu Arjun) lives with his mother in Chittoor District in Andhra Pradesh. Pushpa belongs to the poor section of society, but he keeps a high attitude and thinks big.

The story depicts the drama of the 1990s when Pushpa Raj works as a coolie with a smuggler Konda Reddy (Ajay Ghosh), who smuggles the rare Red Sandalwood that grows in the Seshachalam Hills of the Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh.

One day while police raids, Pushpa flees with a Truck full of Red Sandalwood. Police follow him and capture him at the end. However, the police are not able to find the truck.

Pushpa bears police torture but does not disclose where the truck is. Thus, the police have to release him. His loyalty and intelligence bring him close to Konda Reddy. Pushpa intelligently brings new and innovative ideas to smuggle the red sandalwood. He raises his standard high and compels Konda Reddy to make him a partner in the smuggling business.

Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fahadh Faasil), an IPS officer, is after Sandalwood Smugglers, especially Pushpa. However, Pushpa remains one step ahead, and Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat fails to catch Pushpa.

Konda Reddy sells Sandalwood to Mangalam Srinu (Sunil), a dreaded smugger who manages the entire red sandalwood syndicate. At a party, Pushpa hears that Srinu sells the sandalwood at a much higher rate.

Pushpa thus asks Konda Reddy to demand a higher price for the sandalwood. But Konda Reddy does not want to mess with Srinu.

Soon Pushpa makes enemies that include Mangalam Srinu and his boss Konda Reddy. Pushpa kills Konda Reddy and the brother of Mangalam Srinu.

In the meantime, Pushpa meets Srivalli (Rashmika Mandanna) and falls for her. Srivalli also falls for Pushpa and is ready to marry him. But circumstances changes when Mohan, step-brother of Pushpa, steps in.

The film takes some unusual twists and turns and ends on the day of Pushpa's marriage with Srivalli.
