Raksha Bandhan is a 2022 Bollywood Family Drama movie. Raksha Bandhan was initially scheduled to be released on 5 November 2021. However, the film got postponed and finally released on 11 August 2022.
Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar are playing lead roles in the film. Aanand L. Rai has produced and directed the film. Himanshu Sharma has written the screenplay of the film.
Lala Kedar Nath (Akshay Kumar) is a middle-class unmarried man who lives with his four sisters. Kedar promised his dying mother that he would take care of the four sisters, and he is doing his duty devotionally. However, the marriage of his sisters is not taking place due to a dowry problem.
On the other hand, Kedar loves his childhood friend Sapna (Bhumi Pendekar), and Sapna also loves Kedar. Kedar wants to marry his four sisters before marrying Sapna, but he does not have money for their dowry.
Sapna's father (Neeraj Sood) gives Kedar a deadline of six months to marry her daughter. In the meantime, a matchmaker Shalu (Seema Pahwa) comes as a ray of hope. She soon fixes married to the older sister of Kedar. However, three sisters are still unmarried.
