Tevar - Hindi Film 2015

Tevar [meaning: Attitude] is a Hindi-language (Bollywood) Indian Action Drama film released in cinemas on 9 January 2015.

Central Board of Film Certification issued a UA rating to Tevar, vide certificate No. DIL-2-299-2014-MUM dated 31 December 2014. The run time of the film is 159 Minutes.

Tever is an official remake of the 2003 Telugu film Okkadu. Amit Ravindernath Sharma made his Bollywood directorial debut with Tevar.

Cast

Arjun Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, and Manoj Bajpayee play lead roles in Tever. The film features Raj Babbar, Rajesh Sharma, Mahendra Mewati, Tushar Pandey, Bhuvan Arora, Anil Charanjeett, Deepti Naval, and Gunjan Malhotra in pivotal roles.

Tevar also features Aruna Shetty, Asif Syed, Bhagwan Tiwari, Bhuvan Arora, Deepak Sharma, Dev Rao Jadhav, Dharmendra Singh, Durg Singh Thakur, Jagraj Ghooman, Jayaraj Parayan, Lucky Tomar, Pranav Verma, Rajeev Yadav, Shaji Chaudhary, Shantanu Srivastava, Subrat Dutta, Syoji Ram Choudhari, V K Sharma, Vinod Jaywant, and many others.

Shruti Haasan makes a special appearance in the song Madamiyan.

Budget and Box Office Collection

The tentative budget of Tevar was Rs. 34 Crore. The film did an average business and earned approximately Rs. 46 Crore at the Worldwide Box Office.

Movie Plot

Film Tevar begins with two parallel stories, one in Agra and the other in the nearby city of Mathura, in Uttar Pradesh. Later these two stories cross paths and affect the life of each character in these two stories.

The first story

Ghanshyam Shukla alias Pintoo (Arjun Kapoor) lives in Agra with his mother (Deepti Naval), younger sister Pinky (Gunjan Malhotra), and father, Satya Prakash Shukla (Raj Babbar), Superintendent of Police.

S.P. Shukla is an honest and upright officer. He wants his son to do something worthwhile. Whereas, Pintoo is a good Kabaddi player and passionate about the game.

Pintoo is a happy-go-lucky man who spends time with his three friends, Bhatura (Tushar Pandey), Baingan (Pranav Verma), and Ghonsla (Bhuvan Arora), when not playing Kabbadi.

The Second Story

Home Minister Mahender Singh (Rajesh Sharma) does white-collar crime with the help of his younger brother Gajender (Manoj Bajpayee).

When a reporter Mahesh Kumar Mishra (Mahendra Mewati), starts writing against the Home Minister, Mahendra Singh asks Gajender Singh to teach a lesson to the reporter.

Gajender Singh (Manoj Bajpayee) visits the reporter's home and meets Radhika (Sonakshi Sinha), the sister of Mahesh Kumar Mishra. Gajender Singh falls in love with her immediately and later proposes to Radhika for marriage, who refuses the same.

Gajender Singh tries to convince Radhika's reporter brother but fails. Gajender kills the reporter and plans to marry Radhika.

Radhika's fearful father (Mahendra Mewati) asks Radhika to fly to America. Radhika agrees, but she has to collect her passport from Delhi. However, while Radhika is taking tickets for a journey to Delhi, Gajender visits there and forcefully takes her with him.

The two stories cross paths.

Parallelly, Pintoo visits Mathura with his three friends to attend a wedding. He witnesses Gajender Singh forcefully taking Radhika with her.

Pintoo does not know about Gajender and confronts him. However, he has to flee with Radhika when several goons start firing on them, and a game of cat and mouse begins.

Twist in the story

Pintoo learns the story of Radhika and decides to help her. However, they cannot reach Delhi before the passport office closes for the day. Moreover, the next two days are weekend offs. Thus, Radhika can get her passport after three days.

Pintoo brings Radhika to Agra and secretly hides her in his home without letting his parents know about him. However, he takes his sister younger sister Pinky (Gunjan Malhotra) into confidence.

On the other hand, Home Minster (Rajesh Sharma) orders SP Satya Prakash (Raj Babbar) to find Radhika (Sonakshi Sinha) because she is now a prestigious issue for his brother Gajender Singh (Manoj Bajpayee).

What happens next is the rest of the story of Tevar.
