This movie has superhit Songs TERE JAISA YAAR KAHAN, CHHOOKAR MERE MAN KO and SARA ZAMANA HASEENO KA DEEWANA which is still popular. For this song Amitabh Bachchan had to wear a special dress fitted with lots of eclectic bulbs. Lightening and synchronization of these bulbs were marinated by Amitabh Bachchan himself.
Movie Plot: Kishan (Amitabh Bachchan), an orphan & hardworking villager and Bishan (Amjad Khan), a successful businessman, are childhood friends. Bishan realizes Kishan’s great singing ability and Komal (Neetu Singh) was assigned the duty to groom and polish Kishan like a gentleman. In the meantime Bishan comes to know that his wealth has been thoroughly plundered by his uncle (Jeevan). Now Kishan needs a lot of money to establish Kishan a big Singer and to make him perform in a very big stadium. He mortgaged all his properties and took huge loan for the very purpose. Kishan becomes a successful Singer but Bishan was framed by his uncle and sent to a mental asylum after he loses his mental strength. But no one knows whereabouts of Bishan. Now Kishan has to find his friend and prove his friendship.
