Breathe: Into the Deep Shadows- Review

Screenplay and Direction

Breathe: Into the Deep Shadows engages the audience throughout the entire series. Story is good though nothing new really. Script is a tight one and makes all 12 episodes very interesting.

Director Mayank Sharma has done a good job. He proves his capability when the real kidnapper is revealed in the mid of series. However, the director has successfully leads the story and compels the audience to watch the remaining episodes.

It is really a difficult task to keep audience engaged after the real culprit shows his hidden face. However, Breathe: Into the Deep Shadows is a very good example of it.

Acting

Abhishek Bachchan is in the Key role and has done one of his best performances in his career. His emotions as a helpless father who later converts into a killer to get his lovely daughter with him are exceptionally well.

Nithiya Menon seems very good as a Mother who is not able to forget her daughter even after 9 months of her missing and who can even kill someone to get her daughter back.

Amit Sadh has given role of a cop who most of the time remains emotional less due to some past misshapen for which he also remained in jail for 6 months. He played his role very well.

Shruti Bapna as a gay character has shown her true colors. She acts with ease moreover, seems real.

Other actors like 6 years old Ivana Kaur, Resham Shrivardhan, Shradha Kaul, Plabita Borthakur, Hrishkesh Joshi, Shrikant Verma, Kuljeet Singh, Nizhalgal Ravi and Saiyami Kher have also done a good job on their part.

Breathe: Into the Deep Shadows- Music

There is no song in the series however Alok Nanda Dasgupta  and Karan Kulkarni composed a good background music that adds flavor to this psychological thriller.

Breathe: Into the Deep Shadows- Shortcomings

The Director has stretched the story unnecessarily sometimes. The entire 1 episode which is around 45 minutes long can be shown in merely 15-20 minutes. Too much time is taken to establish the kidnapping of Siya.

The director forgets to establish some facts along with the screenwriter. While Avinash (Abhishek Bachchan) follows Natasha (Shruti Bapna) and Abha (Nithiya Menon) he receives a call from Inspector Kabir (Amit Sadh) to meet him immediately. Avninash informs Abha accordingly and take a u-turn but he never reaches to Kabir.

Some more points are there which should be established in a proper manner but either scriptwriter or director has miserably failed to do so.

Breathe: Into the Deep Shadows- Ratings

The entire series is engaging and would be loved not only by Thriller lovers but also by families too. Hence, users on IMDB rate the series 8.8 out of 10. However, Bollywood Product rates the series 7.5 out of 10 due to the reasons mentioned hereinabove.

Breathe: Into the Deep Shadows- Final Verdict

Breathe: Into the Deep Shadows is a big yes to watch by spending a lot of time. The movie is recommended for every Thriller Lover and every movie lover even after certain shortcomings that can be ignored.

The movie can be watched for a tight script, good direction, good acting skills by almost all the characters, engaging episodes, good background music and most of all that the movie remains engaging even after the hidden face of real culprit exposes.
