Plot Summary of Hindi Film Holiday In Bombay (1963)

Movie Plot

Mr. Nath (Ulhas) is a wealthy man who lives in a small town in India with his son, Pran (Shashi Kapoor), and paternal nephew, Gautam (Rajendra Nath).

Pran and Gautam would like to vacation to Bombay, and Nath permits them to do so. The two delightedly travel there, rent two rooms in a small apartment building, befriend their neighbours, and fall in love with two lovely young women, Vijaya (Vijaya Choudhury) and Seema (Naseem Banu), respectively.

Both men receive opposition from the Maternal Uncle (Rajan Haskar) of Vijaya and the father of Seema. To avoid conflict, the four register a marriage secretly.

Things take a dramatic turn when two women arrive, each claiming to be the wife of Pran and Gautam. One of them even has a small child. This creates trouble, and both Seema and Vijaya leave them, returning to their respective families.

Now, Pran and Gautam are confused, wondering how and when they got married to these women. Their neighbours also turn against them, making their situation worse. On top of that, Mr. Nath is angry and demands a full account of all the money they have spent.
