Plot Summary of Hindi Film Hurdang (2022)

Hurdang is an upcoming Hindi (Bollywood) Romantic Drama film. The release date of Hurdang is 8 April 2022 in Cinemas.

Cast & Crew

Nikhil Bhat is the director of Hurdang. Hurdang is the third feature film directorial for Nikhil Bhat. He earlier directed Saluun (2009) and Brij Mohan Amar Rahe (2017).

Nikhil Bhat has also directed two web series; Rasbhari (2019-20) and The Gone Game (2022). Bhushan Kumar and Hitesh Thakkar have jointly produced Hurdang.

The music directors duo Sachet-Parampara (Sachet Tandon and Parampara Thakur) has composed music, whereas Ishaan Chhabra has composed the Background Score for Hurdang.

Cast

Sunny Kaushal and Nushrratt Bharuccha have played the lead roles in Hurdang. Vijay Varma and Viraj Kapoor have played pivotal roles in the film.

Movie Plot

Hurdang takes inspiration from a real-life incident. It was an agitation of college students in Allahabad, India, in the 1990s.

Daddu Thakur (Sunny Kaushal) is a college student and wants to be an IAS officer. Daddu falls in love with Jhullan (Nushrratt Bharuccha), who studies in the same college. Jhullan also loves Daddu. They want to live together happily. However, Jhullan and Daddu come from different backgrounds having different ideologies.

Loha Singh (Vijay Varma) is also a student in the same college. However, he is a corrupt student leader. Loha Singh renders a helping hand toward Daddu. However, in reality, he wants to use Daddu for his ulterior motives.

Jhullan (Nushrat Bharucha) warns Daddu against befriending Loha Singh because she knows about Loha Singh, but Daddu ignores her warnings.

The situation takes a U-Turn when the government announces caste-based reservation. Daddu takes stands against the restoration that implies inequality. Soon the entire college stands with Daddu, and a revolution for equality begins.

In the meantime, Daddu wakes up to Loha Singh’s reality. Will Daddu be able to stop Loha Singh and his sordid activities?
