Initially, the film booked its slot for Christmas week of 2022 (December 23). However, the release got postponed to avoid a clash with Rohit Shetty's directorial Cirkus (2022) and rescheduled for December 15, 2023. The makers planned to advance the release date for one week (December 8, 2023), but the same got postponed to January 12, 2024. Sriram Raghavan is the director of Merry Christmas.
